Red Wagon Fundraisers

In Atlanta, we use the Red Wagon to identify our fundraising events.  As so many of the activities of the Christ Child Society grew from small beginnings, the Christmas giving followed the same pattern.  A boy named Paul stood by her couch one day, she asked him what he wanted for Christmas. "I want a red wagon, but we're not having any Christmas at our house; my father's got no work."

Ask the Christ Child, Mary Virginia Merrick suggested.  Paul and his friends did.  Their wishes were fulfilled, each gift was marked "From the Christ Child."
