National Christ Child Society’s signature program is newborn layettes. Each chapter of the Christ Child Society provides impoverished mothers with a layette containing newborn essentials.

In Atlanta, our layettes consist of the following:

Handmade quilt

Package of newborn diapers

Set of onsies (3, 6, 9 month sizes)

Set of sleepers (3, 6, 9 month sizes)

3 Sets of Booties

2 Receiving Blankets

2 Bibs

Hand-knitted newborn cap

Baby's First Book

Various instructional pamphlets

We gather throughout the year to bundle these items into layettes for donation. Despite the pandemic, we distributed approximately 250 layettes to Outreach Partners in 2020. To date, our chapter has donated over 3,000 layettes to those in need in the Atlanta area. A Layette Endowment has been established to support this program. Our Chapter received a grant from the Catholic Foundation of North Georgia to support our layette efforts. Layettes are given as an incentive for completion of prenatal programs at:
